Zion is a Managed x402 Facilitator Cloud for Solana. It provides the infrastructure to enable AI Agents to pay for API access using cryptocurrency (USDC) via the HTTP 402 protocol, without requiring developers to manage complex blockchain nodes or payment channels.

The Problem

AI agents cannot use credit cards to buy API access. The emerging standard for this is "x402" (micropayments).

However, for a developer to accept x402 payments today, they face significant hurdles:

• Infrastructure Overhead: They have to run their own Solana nodes and manage complex backend infrastructure (self-hosting facilitators like 'Kora').
• Latency: Existing alternatives often focus on L2 chains which can be too slow for real-time AI agent workflows.
